YPCCA Junior

About The Camp

YPCCA regrets to announce that junior camp will not be running this summer as scheduled. Because of snow days in her district, our fearless leader, Kendra Dickinson, does not end her school year until after the start date of camp. Refunds for any students already registered are going out this week. This will not have any impact on our senior camp, which will run as scheduled June 27th - July 24th. Please keep in mind that senior camp enrolls students entering 6th grade and over, so feel free to have your child join the big kids if your camper qualifies. "Legally Blonde" is going to be a blast!

The Young People's Center for Creative Arts invites your child to experience theater, music, art, and self-expression at our YPCCA Junior camp! Open to students entering first grade through sixth grade, YPCCA Junior will offer workshops in all aspects of theater. At YPCCA Junior, your child will be able to express her or his creativity in a supportive environment. Not only will your child learn new songs and dances, they will also build skills in cooperation and listening while creating lasting friendships and gaining confidence. The one week camp will culminate with a production of our summer junior show with every student in the camp playing a role in the production.

Each day begins with Welcome & Games from 9:00-9:30 run by the staff for the entire camp to get all the kids ready for the day. Next, the kids take part in a Theater Workshop where they learn about acting and being on stage. 10:30-11:15 is spent in Music Rehearsal, singing songs from the show and enjoying music. A Hands-On Art Workshop will meet before lunch where the kids will work on crafts and projects. Lunch & Games is held from 12:00-12:45, students bring their own lunch and juice is provided. The afternoon is spent rehearsing for the production of our summer YPCCA Junior show.
